Adjusting the Miller Elite Flyball Box

How to Adjust the Miller Eilte Flyball Box

To adjust the speed of the thrusters, there are 2 points of adjustment.

  1. To fine tune the speed, adjust the eyelet on the thruster itself. To increase the speed, loosen the nut on the front of the thruster and tighten the nut on the back of the thruster. To decrease the speed, loosen the nut on the back of the thruster and tighten the nut on the front of the thruster.
    Tools required: 7/16” Wrench
  2. For a large change move the bottom eyelet. To increase the speed, move the eyelet to the front of the box. To decrease the speed, move the eyelet to the back of the box towards the thruster.
Tools required: Philips Screw Driver and 3/8” Wrench

Thruster Depth Adjustment

To adjust the depth of the thrusters, there is 1 point of adjustment.

  1. To fine tune the depth of the thruster, adjust the threaded rod on the thruster itself. To move the ball plate forward, loosen the nut on the front of the thruster and tighten the nut on the back of the thruster. To move the ball plate backwards, loosen the nut on the back of the thruster and tighten the nut on the front of the thruster.
    Tools required: 7/16” Wrench

The two mode adjustment allows for independent adjustment of small balls and large balls in the same thruster.

  1. Move the ball plate forward without adjusting speed will strike tennis balls harder sending them further without affecting the speed of the small balls for height dogs.
  2. Move the ball plate backwards without adjusting speed will strike tennis balls softer sending them shorter without affecting the speed of the small balls for height dogs.
  3. Increase Speed on the Thrusters without adjusting the depth of the thruster will increase the distance on all balls.
  4. Decrease Speed on the Thrusters without adjusting the depth of the thruster will decrease the distance on all balls.

Any combinations can be used to achieve desired results.
